The Leather Satchel Co - Shop The Rainbow

The Leather Satchel Co is an infamous British heritage brand and the oldest existing Satchel maker that was established in 1966. The Leather Satchel Co was founded by Stephen Hanshaw who travelled around the world to enhance his creativity in bag designing.

In the summer of 1966 he was approached to design his first Satchel based from the era of the 1920s and since then he has successfully continued to do so. Stephen Hanshaw designed his first two colours in Charcoal and Chestnut  Brown which is what you see today.

During the latter part of the year, Stephen was approached again by a headmaster of a private school and was asked to design Leather Satchels for the pupils that attended - which gracefully launched his business in Liverpool. Now, fast-forward and press-play to 2013 The Leather Satchel Co has over 30 colours to choose from - just think of it like a bag of Skittles “shop the rainbow”.

Yes, Satchels are a bit pricey but think about the craftsmanship, uniqueness and the real leatherness (my own word) for a fashion accessory that will last a lifetime. However, if you don’t think your purse strings can stretch that far write it on your “wish list” for someone to buy for you.
